The prompt given by the Virginia Tech was as follows: This award is given in honor of Ellen Braaten to a graduating senior who is majoring in Architecture or Industrial Design and who has the use of media as it demonstrates the incorporated design related media as a core art of a major project, senior thesis, or an overall body of work during their tenure at Virginia Tech.  The selection process is based on submitted portfolios which describe the use of media in the student's work, the portfolio should be printed and submitted to 201 Cowgill Hall by April 3rd. 

The work shown was selected as the winner of the 2025 Ellen Braaten Media Award.
